About us

The Foundation

WHO WE ARE

The Irene Boham Foundation was founded by an award winning registered nurse, Irene Boham, who from a humble beginning in Ghana worked her way through challenges in the UK developing her nursing career and now holds a Queen’s Nurse Title in the UK.

The Foundation was established in 2017 in the UK for underprivileged young Ghanaians in Ghana and the UK desirous of pursuing careers in nursing or other healthcare related discipline as can be seen under our Mentorship and Success Stories section. We acknowledge, celebrate and support the achievement of successful secondary school graduates to continue their career in healthcare programs to university or college level.

Most of our funds come from the Founder,  through donations and our fund raising events.  We accept donations from individuals, organisations, associations, other charities and sponsorship. We will accept the generosity of those that support us either through donating and/or though attendance at our future fundraising events.

The scheme aims at supporting deserving underprivileged young Ghanaians in the UK and Ghana to realise their university/college ambitions in healthcare education.
